
A double lot site has been secured in the suburb of Kallangur in Brisbane’s north. According to our research, the highest proportion of Kallangur’s population, 18.4%, is made up of families and older couples. This is followed by established couples and families (16.7%) and maturing couples and families (15.5%). At this stage, independent youth only make up 9.6% of Kallangur’s population, however it is likely that this proportion is likely to increase with the establishment of the new Sunshine Coast University in 2020. It is interesting to note that the median property price in Kallangur is $372,500 for a house and $290,000 for a unit. The average rental fee for a house in the region is $360 per week and for a unit is $315 per week.
